The space provides a silent moment to isolate from the world
and talk and listen to his spirit away from distraction.
The silent moments are important, because that is
where he sharpens and defines the concept of work.
The original conception of a work of art is like
a revolution for him. He always begins his work
from a finished piece in the imagination then constructs.
The environment is very important for Pulinat as keeping
his mind open and sensitive to the experience of life,
happiness, sadness, pain, beauty, ugliness, sufferings
are all influences. It is the realization of such experience
that provides the original and individual expression. Nothing
in life is useless for the artist. All experience is part of
the abundance of reality. It doesn't matter what medium he uses,
his talent and individual voice separates one art form from another.
The field is wide open for talented and visionary artists.
By limiting themselves to a singular vehicle of communication
(illustrative art, fine art, graphic design, movie making or motion graphic),
artists sometimes negate the role of imagination as the
distinguishing corollary of knowledge and talent for mainstream world interests.
He leads people to look, think, feel and communicate
by whatever means necessary. Resonating his training,
vision, experience, and point of reference, Pulinat believes
that the main objective and distinguishing characteristic of
good art is its expression; what it is saying, how it is presenting.
He creates freely, questioning assumptions about his art and audience.
The moments of ideas and inspiration may be expressed perhaps
months or years later. The studio is the battlefield of
ideas from which the imagination rises.
